Julie is a full specialist from the UK with over 20 years experience....

I am from England, delighted to be now living in the great State of Florida, and extremely pleased to become the owner and manager of Magnolias Salon & Spa in Winter Park and to be able to work with such a great bunch of girls and guys.

From the first time I realised that the opportunity to own such a great salon existed I have been tremendously excited. My first impressions upon seeing Magnolias were that it had a top reputation with potential for me to add new quality services and maintain and improve the high standards previously.

I have worked in the Beauty Industry for the past 20 years and am qualified as a Full Specialist, both here in Florida and in the UK having undergone three years full time training at one of England’s top specialist training colleges

I love the beauty industry and am a firm believer in the concept of how we look on the outside greatly influences the way we feel on the inside and always follow the natural approach to Beauty treatments using the most up to date professional equipment and products

I have owned and managed my own Beauty Salon and Spa in England since 2005 which I built into a very successful business and sold in 2011 to take up the opportunity to own Magnolias.

I keep regularly up to date and in touch with the latest treatments, products and fashions, by attending Beauty Exhibitions, Seminars, Conferences and Training Courses.

I am a full member of BABTAC “British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology”, and hold CRB (criminal records bureau) checked and disclosure by the UK police.

I have expertise in Skin Care and Facial treatments, Massage, Manicures & Pedicures, make-up and remedial camouflage make-up (covering birthmarks tattoos etc), Semi- Permanent eyelashes, bridal and wedding make-up, Waxing & depilatory treatments.

My specialization is in Semi-Permanent Eyelashes having been trained by Lash Perfect, the UK’s market leader in this highly desirable treatment. Many of my clients in England have been well known local celebrities and sportsmen’s wives and girlfriends.

I am the Mother of a beautiful 20 year old daughter Christie, who is also now a fully qualified Beautician/Aesthetician and part time model. My dream is for her to work with me in Magnolias.

I love to keep fit and am a keen runner and fell walker. I have completed a number of Marathons and half Marathons and have enjoyed climbing lots of the UK’s highest mountains. I would love one day to be able to walk the Appalachian Trail with my husband who is also a keen walker. Here in Florida I have become a regular cyclist and canoeist, I love the Wekiva River and the wildlife there.
